The Northern Cape is a vast, lightly populated area. It is wild, untamed and spectacular in its aridness. This area is not a big five area although some species can be seen in the national parks. The region is worth a visit being unique and a real wilderness and it is where the Diamond industry was founded. You will have the opportunity to visit a working diamond mine. We will also visit the British / Boer War battle fields and the beautiful Kagalagadi Transfrontier National Park.

While in this province visitors are usually taken to some of the following sights:

  • Kimberley - a historical town where the worlds diamond industry was founded. You can visit the Big Hole and jewelers to see how they process diamonds.
  • British/Boar war battle fields
  • National Parks
    • Rictersveld National Park
    • Agrabies Falls National Park
    • Kagalagadi Transfrontier National Park
  • Bushmen community projects
  • Craft sites / curio shops
  • Visiting a working diamond mine
  • A visit(July-September) when the wild flowers of Namakwa land are out.
  • River rafting / canoeing
  • Horse back riding
  • Birding
  • Fishing
